Hermes Personal is a private, single-user automation tool. This policy explains what data it accesses, how that data is used, and how it is protected.
Hermes Personal has exactly one user: its owner, who is also its operator and developer. No other person has an account or can use the tool. Nothing here describes service to third parties, because there are none.
Only with the owner's explicit consent, and only for the owner's own Google account:
Data is used solely to carry out tasks the owner initiates — for example, sorting his inbox, summarising a message, or drafting a reply. There is no profiling, no advertising, no analytics, and no automated decision-making that affects anyone other than the owner.
Authentication uses Google's own OAuth 2.0. The tool receives an access token, stored in a file readable only by the owner's user account on his own machine, protected by the operating system's file permissions. The owner can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately and permanently ends the tool's access.
Data retrieved from Google is processed on the owner's own computer and on a private server he controls. It is held only as long as needed to complete the task at hand.
Google user data is never sold, rented, traded, or transferred to any third party. It is not used to train machine-learning models, and it is not used for advertising. It is not shared with any person or organisation outside the owner.
Where a task requires processing by a language model, only the content necessary for that specific task is sent to the model provider, and only at the owner's instruction. No Google user data is used for any other purpose.
Locally cached data may be deleted by the owner at any time. Revoking the tool's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions prevents any further access to the owner's Google account. To request deletion of any data held, the owner may contact the address below.
Hermes Personal's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular, the tool's use of Google user data is limited to providing and improving user-facing features that are prominent in the tool's own interface, and does not include transferring data to third parties except as necessary to provide those features.
Any material change will be published on this page with a revised date.
